6 lesson of prep for Mock exam on EDEXCEL GCSE Catholic Christianity. Pupils will then sit the May 2018 paper. Booklet included for Pupils to work through with teacher support but could easily be set as a homework. Also includes a feedback lesson with answers for each question for students to discuss or red pen.

4 lesson topic on Christin Denominations and the spread of the Christian Church. Covers Pentecost, the Timeline of Church splitting and similarities and differences between the denominations today. Lots of oppurtunities for discussion and metacognition. Includes and extended writing piece and and a presentation task. Could easily be extended to 5/6 lessons by making the presentation task bigger or shortened to 3 lessons by skipping it. Created for KS3.

4 lessons on Fertility Treatment and religious views on them. Includes what infertility is, different types of treatment, Christian views and Muslim views. Lots of oppurtunity for discussion and reflection. Task at the end could also be amended for an assessment. Used with KS3.

6 lesson mini unit on Abortion covering: key moments in pregnancy, UK law, American Law, Pro Life and Pro Choice views and Christian views. Includes lots of discussion prompts, an explain GCSE style question and an evaulation GCSE style question. Also includes a group task to create a News Bulletin on Abortion. Used with Yr9 but would work with KS4/5 too.

Covers why people get married, the purposes of the Catholic marriage, the Catholic Wedding ceremony, why people would choose a secular wedding, Christian views on sex outside marriage, a poster task, an extended writing task on sex outside marriage, an evaulation question with feedback and plan and a wedding planning challenge. Could easily be extended into 7/8 lessons with quizes or bingo etc or shortened to 3 lessons without the research and poster task.

Created for the mock exam for Edexcel GCSE Religious Studies but could be easily adapted for other specs. Designed to be used with my Revision Booklet Mock GCSE, the Edexcel Catholic Christianity Revision Book, Edexcel Philosophy GCSE Mindmap, and Blank Flashcards resources which are all available in my shop. This aimed to take about 4-6 lessons in preperation for the year 11 mocks.

6 lessons on Christian Moral Action for OCR A Level. Includes P/P, glossary, sheets and essay planning activity. Lots of discussion opportunities on Bonhoeffer’s life and theology.

7 lesson mini unit on festivals of light across world religions. There are individual lessons on Christmas, Easter, Diwali, Hanukkah and Wesak as well as a comparison lesson which explores their similarities and differences. Lots of opportunities for discussion and retrieval practices embedded throughout. Includes a GCSE style evaluation question. Used with KS3 but could be amended with simpler tasks for KS2 or developed with more own research for KS4.

8 lesson mini recap unit for EDEXCEL Catholic Christianity. Students complete this unit at the end of year 9 and so this is a recap designed for the end of year 10. Includes a recap of all the topics and lots of opportunites for review and retrieval practices. Has a mini test at the end.
